Bach Wen Holiday Cottages

Bach Wen is located on the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula with stunning views over Caernarfon Bay, at the edge of Snowdonia National Park.

A peaceful family holiday site, Bach Wen is owned and managed by a group of friends who love to spend holidays there themselves.

There are ten cottagestwo sea-view glamping podds and three small camping areas, including one with an outdoor fridge and power.

The site also has a large licensed barn suitable for weddings, birthday parties and events of all kinds. This is a lovely flexible space that can welcome up to 180 people (standing) with a bar, commercial kitchen and an outdoor seating area that overlooks the sea.

Stay With Us

Bach Wen sits on the remains of the working farm that served the St Beuno Monastery dating back to the 7th century. The farmhouse and the smaller cottages maintain the tradition and charm of the original buildings and offer outstanding views of mountains and sea. From the paddocks in front of the cottages you see Caernarfon Bay, Anglesey, and the imposing Yr Eifl mountains with amazing sunsets 365 days a year!

  • STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL VIEWS
  • GREAT WALKS AND SEA SWIMMING
  • LOG BURNING STOVES
  • WI-FI ACCESS AT THE BARN, FARMHOUSE & GRANARY
  • PET FRIENDLY
  • RESIDENTS BAR (by arrangement)

We have our own private access to the beach…walking down a sheltered green path, following Nant Bach Wen to the sea. The beach is mostly pebbles and rock pools with sandy patches when the tide recedes that is safe for bathing and fishing. Dog owners can run their pets on the field between the cottages and the beach so long as they are supervised.

Bach Wen is renowned for its sunsets - this breath taking spectacle can be enjoyed all year round due to the location of the site, either from your cottage if you have a sea view, the front paddock or by the sea at the end of the day; and the area features many archaeological sites, including a Neolithic burial chamber just 10 minutes walk across the fields!

Some further useful information is here.

ACCESS - currently only one of the cottages (Beuno) is access friendly with a wet room/bathroom and unfortunately we have a gravel driveway that can make moving along the site tricky for wheelchairs. We are working on both of these aspects. Please get in touch for further information.
