Bach Wen is closed to visitors in line with government advice. As soon as we are able to we will re-open and welcome people to this beautiful part of the world. There are some local NHS key workers staying on the site and we have offered free accommodation to help support the extraordinary work that they are doing. Support the NHS - support our community.
COME STAY WITH US
Bach Wen is a tranquil and peaceful site overlooking Caernafon Bay in North Wales on the beautiful Llyn Peninsular, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park.
The site is run by a group of friends who spend holidays there ourselves as well as renting the nine cottages, hosting events and weddings. The onsite barn is a flexible venue for 180 people with indoor and outside space, a bar and kitchen. We have two glamping pods on slopes looking out to the sea and a small campsite.
Bach Wen sits on the remains of the working farm that served the St Beuno Monastery which dates back to the 7th century. The 9 stone cottages maintain the tradition and charm of the original buildings and offer outstanding views in all directions. From the paddocks in front of the cottages you see Caernarfon Bay, Anglesey, Holy Island and the imposing Three Rivals mountain range.
Access to our own private beach is down a sheltered green valley with a babbling brook. The beach is mostly rock and shingle but has sandy patches when the tide recedes and is safe for bathing and fishing. We allow dog owners to run their pets on the field between the cottages and the beach so long as they are supervised.
The site is renowned for its sunsets, which are a breathtaking spectacle in the early evening and can be enjoyed on the front paddock or by the sea.
