Come stay with us
Bach Wen is located on the beautiful Llyn peninsula with stunning views over Caernarfon Bay, at the edge of Snowdonia National Park. A peaceful child-friendly, dog-friendly holiday site, Bach Wen is owned and managed by a group of friends who love to spend holidays there themselves.
There are nine cottages and a large licensed barn suitable for weddings and events of all kinds. This is a lovely flexible space that can welcome up to 180 people with a bar, kitchen and an outdoor seating area that overlooks the sea. There are also two glamping pods ‘Dandelion’ and ‘Burdock’ and a small camping area.
Bach Wen sits on the remains of the working farm that served the St Beuno Monastery dating back to the 7th century. The Farmhouse and the smaller cottages maintain the tradition and charm of the original buildings and offer outstanding views of mountains and sea. From the paddocks in front of the cottages you see Caernarfon Bay, Anglesey, and the imposing Yr Eifl mountains.
We have our own private access to the beach…walking down a sheltered green path to the sea. The beach is mostly rock and shingle with sandy patches when the tide recedes and safe for bathing and fishing. Dog owners can run their pets on the field between the cottages and the beach so long as they are supervised.
Bach Wen is renowned for its sunsets - this breathtaking spectacle can be enjoyed on the front paddock or by the sea at the end of the day; and the area features many archaeological sites, including a Neolithic burial chamber just 10 minutes walk across the fields.
